EVS38: shaping the next era of electric mobility

Jun 15, 2025 - Jul 18, 2025

The next International Electric Vehicle Symposium & Exhibition (EVS38) is set to start in the middle of this June, with VUB NEMO's partner that will present a poster. It will be a crucial meeting point for professionals who desire to tackle and discuss the latest challenges and developments of Electric Vehicles (EV).

The 38th International Electric Vehicle Symposium & Exhibition will take place from 15 to 18 June 2025, in Gothenburg, Sweden, joined by experts from industry, academia and public administrations to discuss the future of electric mobility.

Among the speakers, also NEMO will be present at the Exhibiton, with VUB that will present a poster. The event will showcase the latest innovations in electric vehicles, charging infrastructure, battery technology, AI-driven mobility solutions and sustainable transportation policies. The piece of the complex electric mobility puzzle with which VUB will contribute (“Characterization of High-Energy Prismatic NMC (631) Cells: A Combined Incremental Capacity and Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy Approach”) regards High-Energy Prismatic NMC battery cells. These technologies are fundamental for many EV applications, and within the paper they will be analyzed for their performance and degradation under different temperatures. The paper will be presented by Kashif Raza, VUB PhD researcher.

The conference will tackle key industry challenges, such as the role of Scandinavia in driving the future of circular vehicles, new job opportunities in the sector of e-vehicles, battery aging, regulations issues and market opportunities. By considering the overall landscape of technological, business and legal aspects, EVS38 aims to accelerate the shift toward cleaner, smarter, and more efficient mobility solutions.
