Nemo Project

Dear Reader,

We are pleased to share the latest updates from the NEMO project, highlighting recent events, publications, and resources.

NEMO at EUSEW 2026 - BMS Alliance & BEPA policy session
Event

NEMO is proud to take part in the BMS Alliance policy session at the European Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW) 2026, Europe’s leading event on renewable energy and energy efficiency.

The session “Competitive by Design: Strengthening Europe’s Battery Value Chain Resilience”, co-organised with BEPA – the Batteries European Partnership Association, will bring together EU institutions, industry leaders, OEMs, gigafactories, and Horizon Europe projects to translate research insights into concrete policy reflections.

NEMO will contribute alongside sister projects of the BMS Alliance, highlighting how advanced battery models, real-time diagnostics, and intelligent BMS software can support Europe’s competitiveness, reduce strategic dependencies, and strengthen the resilience of the battery value chain.

Upcoming Events - June 2026

In June, NEMO will also be actively engaged in two additional key events.

On 16 June, NEMO will take part in the ENERGETIC Final Event, held in Brussels and online, which will bring together experts from research, industry and policy to explore the latest developments in smart Battery Management Systems. The event will showcase ENERGETIC’s key achievements, including innovations in advanced sensing technologies, AI-driven models, and digital twins for monitoring battery performance and predicting remaining useful life across both transport and stationary applications.

On 18 June, NEMO will also contribute to the BMS Alliance webinar on “Deploying Physics-Based Battery Models in Embedded BMS: European Readiness, Current Approaches, and Challenges.” This online session will gather experts from the four Horizon Europe projects within the Alliance (NEMO, ENERGETIC, BATMAX and NEXTBMS) to discuss the integration of advanced physics-based models into embedded systems, highlighting both technical challenges and industrial opportunities.
